Well we get on the plane in a little over 24 hours, if the snow storm doesn't change our plans!!! Excited and nervous....YES! We are meeting our little guy in SIX DAYS!!! This has been the most emotionally exhausting of our adoptions, at least for me. I am not exactly sure why; maybe because I have the two girls. Home schooling both girls while doing the mounds of paperwork has been challenging, one excelling beyond her years (I can barely keep her busy)....the other trying hard to be lazy (have to stay on her)!
The girls are happy to be going along to get their baby brother, I couldn't image leaving them behind! We hope to make the journey as enjoyable as possible but it is by no means a vacation. I have explained that to them (especially the youngest) many times as most days will be filled with, you guessed it, more paperwork!! Bringing an almost 3 year old into our family and a boy to boot will be a BIG adjustment for all of us, especially the BOY!! My heart will burst with happiness to finally have him but also will break for him as he grieves the loss of all he has known, the family he will lose (he is in a foster family). So many emotions going, all the time. I hope he likes us (as our youngest says), guess he doesn't have to much choice does he. Well that's all the time I have today, have to finish packing!!! Yes, I'm not organized at all.
Want to add a big Thank You to my nephew Michael for taking on the challenge and staying with my 3 fur babies for 16 days!!!! Love you Mike!!
